Wild at Heart follows a suburban vet and his extended family as they try to re-invent their lives on a game park in the heart of Africa.

This six-part series stars Stephen Tompkinson, Amanda Holden and Lucy-Jo Hudson and is written by Ashley Pharoah, creator of Where the Heart Is and Down to Earth.

Stephen Tompkinson (Marian Again, In Denial of Murder, Lucky Jim) is widower Danny Trevanion, a vet with a passion for his work and father of feisty teenager Rosie (Lucy-Jo Hudson - Coronation Street). He has recently married divorcee Sarah - Amanda Holden (Cutting It, Mad About Alice, Hearts and Bones), mother of two young children, Evan (Luke Ward-Wilkinson) and Olivia (Rafaella Hutchinson).

Living among the lions, cheetahs, giraffes and snakes of their new African home stretches to breaking point Danny’s veterinary skills - and the family’s love for each other. Will they succeed against all the odds?
