Fallout Synopsis
Fallout, an adaptation of a play which originated at The Royal Court Theatre, is a take on modern day London.
The story centers around a council estate in London and follows the lives of a group of close friends over the course of a few weeks as they face the biggest test of street loyalty in their young lives. A black policeman DC Joe Stephens must return to his old neighbourhood to investigate an unsolved murder and through his character we explore the prejudices and judgments we make towards the black youths on the estate. Is the murder of Kwame a gifted student, the turning point which forces the group to challenge received ideas of respect and responsibility?
