The Village begins filming

Following a successful first series that was described in the Guardian as “beautifully observed and crafted”; The Village has today begun filming in Derbyshire for the second series. Now in the 1920s world of boom and bust, motor cars and the Charleston; the twenties bring a blast of energy and freedom to the village and with it the big dramas that change will always generate. The 6 episodes of the series will air later in the year on BBC One.
