Wallis and Edward

Wallis and Edward Synopsis

In 1936, King Edward VIII stunned the world when he abdicated the English throne in order to marry American divorcee Wallis Simpson. Vilified in the press, Wallis has remained in popular perception a loose woman, a schemer who deprived the hapless king of his birthright. For the first time, Wallis and Edward tells the story from Wallis’s point of view. The story of a woman humiliated and frozen out by the royal family, a woman pilloried for daring to fall in love with the future King of England.
