Who Gets The Dog? Synopsis

Kevin Whately and Alison Steadman play Jack and Jenny Evans, whose 27 year marriage is on the rocks. Jenny blames the break up on his affair with a woman called Pam, but Jack claims the marriage has been in trouble since Jenny herself had an affair three years earlier.

Before they know it Paul and Jenny are at the mercy of their avaricious lawyers, Steve Hollister and Tara Walker, played by Stephen Mangan and Emma Pierson. Tara and Steve flirt outrageously engaging themselves, and the unwitting couple, in a wager to achieve their own mercenary and lustful ambitions.

Meanwhile, Paul and Jenny’s daughter Claire – played by Sinead Matthews – is distraught that her parents are splitting and plots to bring them back together. And then there’s Bounder, the family’s old faithful dog. Who gets him in the wrangle over the assets…?
